Katy Perry Music Video Release on Friday

The music video for Katy Perry’s sixth single from her double-platinum, ‘The One That Got Away,” will premiere during Perry’s special appearance on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ this Friday, November 11. Floria Sigismondi, who helped in filming ‘The Runaways,’ and also directed Perry’s music video for ‘E.T.’ A 30-second trailer has been released giving a glimpse of the video.

The video will be available on the show’s website immediately after her appearance on the show, then it will later be available at 4PM on Vevo.

“I think that everyone can relate to this song,” Katy said in a press release. “I wrote this song about when you promise someone forever, but you end up not being able to follow through. It’s a bittersweet story — hopefully, the listener learns from hearing it and never has to say they had ‘The One’ get away.”
