Yes, it’s true! The idea for the new American Pie Reunion and for the current cast was none other than Sean William Scott’s.
The returning cast members of the American Pie franchise including Sean William Scott is; Jason Biggs, Chris Klein, Jennifer Coolidge and Alyson Hannigan. The last American Pie film they were in was American Wedding in 2003, it’s been nine years since they’ve been onscreen together.
Sean, who plays the hilarious asshole party boy, Stifler, admits that he has been working on the idea of a comeback film for many years and was extremely happy to reunite with all of his former cast members.
Scott said “It was a long time in the making because I pitched the movie three years ago, the idea of bringing everybody back for a high school reunion. I had three years to go, ‘Wow, how much fun is it going to be to play Stifler in his 30s’. It was a blast.”
He also added a bit about the character he plays “He’s regressed… I was like, ‘He’s gotta be just weird! He’s older now, so he’s got to be weirder and crazier’. I don’t eat dog s**t in the movie, though, not like in the last one. Some weird stuff happens.”
All I’ve got to say is thank you Sean William Scott for having such a brilliant idea, the American Pie movies that didn’t star the original cast from the first three haven’t been that great at all. To see that they’re finally reuniting for a new film makes me way too happy, can’t wait to see what kind of crazy situations Stifler will be in.
