Billy Bob Thornton is in Berlin this week, with the latest film he’s directed, “Jayne Mansfield’s Car”. Reviews have been made already for the film and most responses are more favourable than not.
Thornton has also be doing interview rounds and although the subject is more about his current film, he said that the most discussed sequel to “Bad Santa” will finally be shooting this fall; he’s also going to be directing another film titled “And Then We Drove”. The film is inspired by his marriage to Angelina Jolie, although she is most likely not to be in the film.
The last thing we heard about “Bad Santa 2” is that Thornton was in talks to do the film, while Johnny Rosenthal and John Philips had both been hired to create parallel scripts. No, there isn’t any information on which writer got the approval to be the writer of the sequel to Bad Santa, but the film is set for a Christmas 2013 release date.
To be brutally honest I hated the movie Bad Santa, it just wasn’t funny in my opinion and to see another being made is quite disappointing. Like I said about Transformers 4, some things are just meant to stay dead.
