Yesterday the PC multi-player for the demo of Mass Effect 3 finally released and all I got to say is HOLY SH*T!

Game Review: Mass Effect 3 Demo First Impressions

This is the first game of the Mass Effect franchise to feature multi-player, at first I thought that this was quite pointless since the single player in the last two were amazing. But was I ever wrong, I’ve been playing online with a couple of friends for several hours and I’m shocked at how good it really is and for some reason I can’t get bored of playing it.

The multi-player in this game is quite similar to Horde mode in Gears of War; you have to survive a number of waves of enemies with the additional objects thrown in that are mandatory to do or else you fail and it’s up to 4 players. You get a selection of 6 classes to play as each having their own unique abilities, you have one character which is human for each to play as with an additional of un-lockable aliens such as the Salarian, Asari, Drell, Quarian, Turian and my personal favourite, the Krogan. What I noticed first was that the customization was very well done in this game, each character is individually customizable, and you can customize their gear, color schemes, upgrades and even their skill trees. There are three difficulties to play from Bronze, Silver and Gold.

The demo only had two levels to play in, which were in my opinion on the small side. It looks like there’s going to be a ton of maps added when the game’s released and other factions other than Cerberus to go against and damn, can I not wait!

I’ve gotten friends who’ve never played the Mass Effect franchise to get this demo and play, they love it and can’t believe how good it is and it’s even made them also pre-order the game the next day. If you’re not a big fan of Mass Effect or have never heard of it, I recommend you to download the demo and give it try, I think you will like it for sure.
