Yes the very man who directed Twilight: Eclipse and 30 Days of Night, David Slade will be trying to take on the most well-known cannibal. He’s signed on to direct the first episode of Hannibal and I’m pretty worried about this.
Writing the script will be Bryan Fuller, Hannibal mainly focuses on a younger Hannibal Lecter working with Will Graham, a FBI agent who eventually finds out the horrifying dark secret Lecter has. Playing Will Graham will be Hugh Dancy, sadly there is no word on who will be playing Hannibal Lecter but whomever it is I hope they do the role some justice.
NBC has picked up Hannibal, it will be 13 episodes long and it’s not the first NBC pilot Slade has directed. Slade is also supposedly to direct the next Daredevil movie, which will be a reboot.
Now the thing that worries me is that the fact he’s directed a Twilight film, this instantly makes me question his ability to direct since that and all the rest of the franchise’s films are incredibly horrible and hard to watch… Even the books themselves aren’t even that great, a disgrace to literature in my opinion. Should I already be saying R.I.P. to Hannibal Lecter and the Daredevil reboot or wait and see what happens? Who knows, I just hope he doesn’t ruin both.
