The instrumental by J Cole had some promise, but later on into the song it just sounded really boring. It felt like I could fall asleep to it with ease, but what was worst of all was how simple it sounded. It sounded something you could produce on fruityloops in a couple of minutes, horribly annoying.
Apparently this is also said to be a “freestyle” well I really hope it is, so I can just pass this off as J Cole only being a horrible freestyler because the lyrics are so incredibly bad. I just couldn’t listen to the whole song; it has no real meaning to it, in fact it’s mostly about sex. What happened to the good old days where people tried to produce music with a meaning you can easily relate to? In modern times it’s quite disappointing what we actually consider as music.
In conclusion, this song is nothing but trash. J Cole has to really avoid releasing this type of stuff or I’ll probably just give up on listening to his music, it just surpasses the limits of crap I can tolerate.
