Carly Rae Jepsen made an appearance on Good Morning America on Monday morning in New York City. She looked very Easter-themed in pastels as she sat down for an interview about her recent success for the song “Call Me Maybe.”
The 26-year-old interviewed with Lara Spencer. She talked about how she can give partial credit of her success to Justin Bieber for bringing so much awareness to the song. She said:
“He (Justin Bieber) was home for Christmas right when my song was playing on the radio in Canada. And he heard the song and he liked it, and kinda offered his support to help me spread it worldwide. It began with a simple tweet… then it snowballed… there was a picture or a video that he’d made. I was actually touring Canada with the band Hanson and I got a call from my manager just being like, ‘Scooter [Braun] and Justin are serious about this…’”
