The Wolverine has had a few bumps in the road ever since the project was announced. After the news that Darren Aronofsky wouldn’t be directing the film in the follow up of “X-Men Origins-Wolverine”, natural disasters in Japan forced the production to move somewhere else. Today we’ve found out that the new location will be Hugh’s home continent Australia.
James Mangold will be directing this film, Hugh Jackman and the whole crew of Wolverine are ready to head to Australia later this year after production is finished on Les Miserables.
The Wolverine is supposedly going to cost about $80 million in production costs, 720 casts and crew jobs and 2000 extra jobs, which will boost the economy in Sydney, Australia. This is not the first time that the Wolverine was filmed down under, the first one was filmed there too.
There have been no official announcements on what the plot for this upcoming film will be. But there has been talks of there being a rated R and a PG-13 version of the film, sadly it’s not very likely that the rated R version will be able to be seen in theatres, though the thought of that sounds f*cking awesome. The only bit of information on the film is that it’s set to be released on July 26, 2013.
