Looks like “Call Me Maybe” singer Carly Rae Jepsen will have her time to shine on September 18, which has been set as the offical U.S. release date for her first album, Kiss. Jepsen helped write and co-write the album, as well as collaborated with other reputable songwriters and producers including Max Martin, Dallas Austin, LMFAO’s Redfoo, Toby Gad and Matthew Koma.
Justin Bieber will featured in a song on the album, but Carly is “sworn to secrecy” about it because they “want to release it together at one moment.” Carly Rae will also be joining Justin on his “Believe” tour, which kicks off this fall.
Carly shared her opinions of the album by saying, “These are lyric and song ideas that I have been collecting over the years. I can’t tell you how lucky I feel to be able to collaborate with some of my dream producers. It has been the most fulfilling experience. The record is pop. It’s inspired by Robyn, The Cars, Madonna, and believe it or not, James Taylor. I can’t wait to share it with everyone! Kiss.”
