We reported last week here on Celeb Teen Laundry that Amanda Bynes was caught naked in the foyer of a well-known New York tanning salon. She vehemently denied these accusations and eventually ended up suing In Touch magazine for reporting a purportedly fictitious story. “I’m suing In Touch for printing a fake story. I’m not ‘troubled.’ I don’t get naked in public. I’m 26, a multi-millionaire, retired. Please respect my privacy,” the former star of What I Like About You quipped to Us Weekly. However, new reports have surfaced that support her denial of the event.
According to Beach Bum Tanning’s CEO, James Oliver, “Employee testimony and security footage have confirmed that Ms. Bynes was not acting inappropriately. She is a long-time client and we stand by her account.” We don’t want to be the bitches in this broth of accusations, but wouldn’t the aptly named James Oliver (side bar: Amanda Bynes starred alongside now defunct UK actor Oliver James in What A Girl Wants) publically come out in aide of his star powered Bynes? Remember, sans the horrid cliché, denial is a river in Egypt.
Bynes might make a fortune from the out of court settlement she will most obviously reach with In Touch magazine, but her legal troubles are very, very far from over. The defunct Bynes pleaded guilty in late September to two separate accounts of hit-and-run driving. If she were to be found guilty of these crimes, she could face up to a year in prison (or a slap on the wrists, as she is a celebutante after all!) Bynes is also facing a DUI charge and two charges of driving on a suspended license.
In other words, Amanda Bynes should stay away from cars, tanning salons, and acting, as none of the above seem to do her any good in the long run.
