When Ramona Singer first joined the cast of The Real Housewive’s of New York City her daughter Avery was a very young teenaged girl. Time flies and those years have flipped by until now when we find Avery already grown and pursuing college opportunities outside of NYC. She has applied to several schools and on Dec. 17th Ramona took to her Twitter to mention that Avery had received a full welcome package from the University of Michigan. I’m going to bet that there will be more acceptance letters rolling in between now and next spring, giving Avery several options for school opportunities.
It’s not too surprising that she’d want to leave New York City either. I mean even if she loves it, Ramona is quite a trip and Avery might have had enough of everyday life with her mom. If you’re a fan of RHONYC then you already know that Ramona comes off as a wine slugging, neurotic business woman. I can’t even imagine how hard she is to deal with in any situation let alone as a mom. Mother daughter relationships are some of the trickiest even when things are great, it has to be tougher when your mom is on television acting bonkers in a different cat fight each week. That alone most make Michigan sound like a great idea to Avery!
How will Ramona cope with her daughter being gone? Will Bravo execs be shooting footage of her visiting Avery at school on the other side of the country? Will Ramona be crying in her Pinot Grigio because she loves and misses her baby? What about Avery? Maybe we’ll get to watch her really blossom and grow onscreen!
